Readability Analysis and Re-writing Of Content

Readability Analysis is a part of editing and it includes checking of readability index score and detection of difficult areas of comprehension. After checking the readability, content writers have to re-work up on the areas where readability index score is lower in order to enhance readability.

While re-working up on the content as a part of Readability Enhancement:
·         Replace difficult words with simple words
·         Replace long sentences with short sentences
·         Replace jargon  with popular words
·         Replace words containing more syllables with words containing less syllables
·         Replace passive sentences with active sentences

Points to remember about unreadable and less readable content:

  • Text containing long sentences, difficult and rare words, jargon and passive sentences, kill the readability
  • Unreadable and less readable text irritates and strains the readers.
  • The readers may not visit your site or go through your writing once again in future.
  • Readers may feel bored to read less readable writing and may omit some parts of the text. Sometimes, the missed out parts may be highly important and crucial ones.
  • Readers may not understand what the writer wants him to understand and sometimes, they may even take different meaning and get misled.
