Lesson1: Different kinds of writers

Writers are of two types namely amateur writers and professional writers.

Amateur writers: Amateur writers are those for whom writing is just a hobby. They never plan to make their living up on their pen. Even if they receive some money for their writing, it is usually a meager amount that is just sufficient for their expenses such as pens, papers and Internet bill. If they wish to write something, they put their pen on paper or put their fingers on their keyboard if they are computer savvy. For them, writing is not compulsory. For an amateur writer, the sky may be the limit and earth may be the base. They can be the rulers of the world in between the sky and the earth, with no rules and regulations.

Professional writers: For these writers, writing is a profession. Unlike their amateur counterparts, professional writers have to write and complete their target within deadline and have to obey several rules and regulations.

Professional writers too can be classified in several categories some of which are mentioned below as follow:
• Technical writers
• Business writers (including Proposal writers)
• Instructional designers
• Copy writers
• Journalists
• Content writers
